The Aftermath of Achieving Goals
What happens after you achieve a goal? Is it a burst of enjoyment that lasts one day or maybe a week? Then what? Goal attainment may provide temporary or short-lived happiness, but it’s the process that continuously drives personal growth and motivation. A well-defined system of processes pushes you forward:
- Self-Improvement: It helps you improve yourself!
- Energy Efficiency: It saves your energy by automating or delegating tasks, allowing you to focus on more creative endeavors!
While goals are undeniably crucial, it’s the processes that foster sustained success and make work enjoyable. Creating processes to establish a system and actively contributing to that system is what satisfies me. After crafting digital solutions with beautiful code and neat technical architecture, I find great satisfaction in creating and simplifying processes that streamline our path to achieving goals with the least amount of effort.
My Journey
I completed my BS degree in Computer Technology in 2013 and embarked on my professional journey in 2014 as a software developer. I progressed to a managerial role and served as a Product, Project, and Toolchain Manager, overseeing a team of 20-25 developers until September 2024. In my last job, I engaged in the following daily activities:
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicating with various stakeholders both onsite and offsite, including developers, 3D artists/modelers, project managers, technical managers, CTOs, and heads of departments.
- Technical Support: Assisting developers in resolving technical bugs, answering their queries, and providing guidance to improve their code architecture. I also offered insights into potential problems to ensure smooth project execution.
- Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities to create or optimize processes/toolchains.
- Product Development Leadership: Leading product development teams to enhance user experiences.
- Resource Allocation: Allocating resources and estimating efforts for different projects.
- Full-Stack Web Development: Engaging in full-stack web development and managing the database administration of the company’s official website.
With over nine years of experience, I’ve extensively worked with the Unity3D Game Engine, C# programming, and SQL databases. Additionally, I occasionally delve into web development using PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, and write Python scripts to automate various tasks. While I acknowledge the importance of technology stacks, I emphasize prioritizing problem-solving skills and developing robust approaches to challenges.
Currently, I am learning about machine learning, mastering .NET, working on different product concepts, and exploring unknown areas in Unity that I didn’t reach during my nine-year professional journey. I am open to work!
What I Enjoy
- Constant Learning: Engaging in continuous learning and self-improvement from start to finish (cradle to grave).
- Team Success: Focusing on helping my team succeed, which brings greater satisfaction than individual wins.
- Impactful Decision-Making: Making decisions that can change the course of projects.
- Fostering Independence: Enhancing the thought process of the team to foster independence in problem-solving.
- Training and Counseling: Providing training, education, and counseling beyond my immediate team.
- Community Contribution: Contributing content to the community to share knowledge and experiences.
- Writing Clean Code: Passionate about writing clean code and creating well-structured architectures!
